Flight Wine Descriptions

Dry Riesling – This Riesling is wonderfully crisp, clean, and full. The mouthwatering acidity balances the soft notes of grapefruit and white tea. It finishes with hints of pear and lemon zest.

Grüner Veltliner – There is a soft acidity complemented with a hint of white pepper and green apple peel. It has a lovely herbaceousness that fits the lightness of this easy, dry white!

Winzer Select Riesling K – This delicate off dry style Kabinett Riesling is bright and vibrant with classic white peach, flinty minerality, and lively lemony acidity on the finish.

Gewürztraminer – Beautifully balanced with traditional notes of tropical fruit, lychee, geranium and an anise spice. A longer contact with the skins lends the wine a richer color and more textural mouthfeel.

Zweigelt Dry Rosé – It not only has a gorgeous deep color, but the flavor to back it up. It has juicy notes of pomegranate, tart raspberry and red plum, balanced with fresh acidity.

Dry Rosé – There’s a strong acidity that balances out the sweeter, fruity notes of early summer strawberry. It finishes beautifully with a rich flavor of peaches and cream.

Unoaked Chardonnay – It has hints of flinty minerality and pear on the nose, followed by refreshingly light notes of honeydew and cantaloupe. Perfectly well rounded, with a soft texture, this wine finishes with a slight hint of candied banana.

Chardonnay – Aged in a variety of older and new barrels, this Chardonnay has a beautiful balance of body and oak with a fresh acidity on the finish. Fresh fruit notes come through on the nose with a slight hint of vanilla on the palate.

Semi Dry Riesling – Fruit forward notes of pineapple, kiwi and guava compliment the balanced, bright acidity. The hint of minerality on the finish keeps this wine structured and lively.

Heart of the Lake – A unique hybrid of Riesling and Cayuga White, it has floral notes of honeysuckle, herbal tea, and jasmine that balance perfectly with it’s fuller body and nice structure. Flavors of pear and white peach flood the palate with bright juiciness.

Schulhaus Red – The naturally low tannin grape Chancellor dominates this blend making it extremely drinkable! The juicy notes of blackberry, black cherry, and fig add to the rich, full bodied texture of this wine.

Zweigelt – With hints of clove on the nose, our 2021 Zweigelt is a dry red dominated by red plums, leather, and violets. The subtle tartness of this grape truly balances the lively acidity.

Cabernet Franc – Lighter to medium body with notes of raspberry & blueberry finishing with a mild toastiness from the oak aging. The smooth tannins and lively acidity make this wine great for drinking now, as well as aging for up to 8 years.

Cabernet Sauvignon – The nose takes you back to your very first time trying this varietal with all of the sweet tobacco, oak and earthiness you’d expect. The juiciness bursts in your mouth, tasting notes of raspberry, strawberry and plum.

Schulhaus White – This fantastic, juicy, sweet wine is made with the Diamond grape. Notes of green apple and cotton candy grapes with a slight acidity to balance the sweetness.

Schulhaus Blush – Our sweet blush will take you back to being a young kid and eating fresh grapes from the local farm stand.  It is bright and vibrant with strong fruit characteristics and smells and tastes like fresh grapes from the vine.  Notes of raspberry, strawberry, and watermelon.

Sauvignon Blanc – Wonderfully crisp from the vivacious acidity, it is balanced by light notes of melon. The citrus flavors bring a punch of vibrance, which is followed by the juiciness of white peach on the palate.

Pinot Blanc – Leading with hints of pear and jasmine followed by candied ginger, lemon peel, and mandarin orange on the palate. There’s also a faint hint of white pepper on the finish, which ties everything together beautifully.

Zweigelt & Petite Sirah – With a blend of 52% Zweigelt and 48% Petite Sirah, this is unlike any red you’ve ever tasted before! The richness of Petite Sirah balances the bright acidity of Zweigelt and brings a meaty and pine aroma with notes of pomegranate. Zweigelt brings the spice giving this wine hints of anise, clove, and smoke.
